Elise Webster

Biography: Elise Webster

From Cornwall in the South West of the UK, brought up on salt water and adrenaline, I have always been looking for new ways to ride surfaces in and out of the water. I have a background in teaching waterskiing and wakeboarding with a keen personal interest in both.

When I first found out about Streetsurfing, I knew I was in for a very exciting ride and when I found they needed an instructor, I dived into the team with excitement and enthusiasm. Since February 2007 I have been teaching in schools around Dorset, influencing children of all ages to view concrete in a way they never had before.

I could see the advantages of the new sport and the way in which it could transform an environment, and therefore the views of children and staff. I knew at this moment when I returned to Cornwall, I would have to introduce this new sport to the schools and community.

Now aged 21, I have been teaching in Cornwall and Plymouth since September 2008, and will continue through 2009 to inspire schools around the South West that Streetsurfing is a board sport that they all can participate in and enjoy, and welcome anyone with interest to get in contact with me, as I will be more than willing to come and instruct in your area.
